AUCKLAND KINDERGARTEN ASSOCIATION

Delivered across three Auckland Kindergarten Association sites in Morningside, Whenuapai and Meadowbank, these projects reflect a long-standing partnership spanning more than 15 years. Together they represent over 75 completed projects with AKA. Each centre was designed to create a warm, engaging early learning environment tailored to its surrounding community. The design balances simplicity, efficiency, and functionality with thoughtful spatial planning.

A strong emphasis was placed on passive design principles, incorporating natural light, ventilation, and orientation. Summer cooling was also included to support comfortable and healthy learning spaces year-round.

Generous outdoor areas feature vegetation, sand, and natural play elements that encourage exploration and interaction. These create bright and welcoming environments that support both early learning and everyday functionality.
