ALLIANZ 1 BYRON AVE
The existing two-and-a-half-level building at 1 Byron Avenue required seismic strengthening and a full exterior upgrade. Our client’s goal was to set a new benchmark for development in Takapuna’s CBD.
Lanta delivered the required strengthening works while adding an additional one-and-a-half floors, increasing lettable space by 50%. This involved extending the third level and reinforcing the ground floor to support the new structure. The result is a building that exceeds 90% NBS.
The design also enhanced natural light, introduced new services, and retained elements of the original blockwork for character. The project is located on a busy street, requiring careful planning and ongoing coordination with neighbours and tenants. This ensured it was completed on time with minimal disruption.
